MegaETH is halting its Mega Mafia startup accelerator, a program that successfully guided two cohorts over the past two years. According to co-founder Shuyao Kong, there will be no Mega Mafia 3.0, signaling a significant change in strategic direction. Despite this closure, the network plans to continue supporting earlier participants of the program.
During its operation, Mega Mafia was instrumental in launching several successful crypto initiatives, helping entrepreneurs bring their projects to life in a challenging market. The decision to shut down the accelerator comes amidst a broader trend affecting the crypto sector, where numerous projects have faced significant challenges, including market turbulence and increased scrutiny.
Future Support for Graduates
Despite the accelerator's closure, the commitment to assist alumni projects reflects MegaETH's ongoing dedication to fostering innovation in the cryptocurrency space. This approach might allow previous participants to continue leveraging the resources and networks built during their time in the program.
The shift away from the accelerator model might also indicate a larger re-evaluation within the company as it seeks to adapt to the rapidly changing landscape of the crypto market.
