In an impressive achievement, BTCC, the world’s oldest cryptocurrency exchange, announced a remarkable surge in TradFi trading volumes. In its Q2 2026 Growth Report, the exchange highlighted that its TradFi futures volume jumped from $950 million in Q1 to an astounding $2.7 billion in Q2. This represents the fastest single-quarter growth since the exchange's inception.

Two notable days define this quarter's remarkable performance:

  • On April 14, as oil prices soared above $105 per barrel due to a blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, the exchange recorded a daily futures trading volume of $5.8 billion.
  • April 23 witnessed Bitcoin exceeding $78,000, which led to a trading volume of $5.7 billion.

This exceptional trading activity underscored the value of integrating crypto and traditional markets on one platform. Among BTCC's top trading pairs, Bitcoin (BTC) dominated with a staggering $125.8 billion in volume, closely followed by Ethereum (ETH) at $40.7 billion. also gold traded at $1.53 billion and a rising DeFi asset called HYPE amassed $1.46 billion.

Celebrating 15 Years and Community Engagement

In Q2, BTCC also celebrated its 15th anniversary under the slogan "Built for the Long Game," reinforcing its long-term commitment to users. In conjunction with this milestone, the exchange introduced a significant cost initiative, including zero-fee trading on all TradFi futures pairs and up to 25% cuts in standard perpetual futures fees.

Another key development saw BTCC partner with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) during the World Cup, providing users a 1.25x trading volume boost before each Argentina match. The results were telling: futures trading volumes increased by up to 55% leading up to these matches, demonstrating the campaign's effectiveness.

Beyond trading, BTCC is making an impact on its community. The exchange hosted three Red Eagle Foundation charity golf events this summer, raising £88,000 for underprivileged children in England, showcasing its commitment to social responsibility.
